Rate of Pay

£9 – £12 per hour dependent on experience

Purpose of Post

The chosen candidate will be responsible for the accurate record keeping of all financial transactions for a group of 8 companies. You will job share with an established member of staff who will offer you support and training.

Key Tasks may include;

  • Double entry book keeping
  • Production and use of Microsoft Excel to provide management reports
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Manage monthly payments such as rates/council tax
  • Monitor and Review account balances
  • Partial Exemption VAT Return for 1 company
  • Calculating and processing wages (including sickness, hours of work)
  • Keeping personnel records including holidays
  • Processing payments to suppliers
  • Accurate record keeping of all receipts and payments.

Essential Skills

  • Substantial experience of manual book keeping
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Reliable, honest, self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Methodical approach with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Innovative and proactive
  • Ability to work independently and deal with a demanding workload and prioritise accordingly
